Term One, 2010

All classes can be run by appointment outside of the following times and dates, either at the Macedon Studio or at your local community centre.  Organise a class of 6 and get yours for free.

Thursday 18 March 9.30am - 3 pm.

Three projects in a day!  We use Premo! polymer clay, Makin's airdry polymer and PMC3. Suitable for both the beginner and more experienced clay artisans.

This is a popular class that serves as an introduction to Precious Metal Clay.  Pupils learn the characteristics of PMC3 and gain hands-on experience of some of the uses of silver clay.  The clay is then fired by hand using a gas torch.  This is a four hour class that challenges you to design, fabricate and cure a piece in a fully supported environment.  The cost for the class is $70 plus materials (around $30).  All tools are supplied and you receive written notes for your future reference.

The Basics Class
at the Macedon Studio run beginning at 10am and finishing at 2pm.  This is a busy class and there is only time for a quick cuppa so try to eat before you come, bring a sandwich for when you finish or try out our great local cafe, Sitka. Woodend has the best fudge shop too...

Come and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful rural surrounds of Textile and Mixed Media artist Jackie McMasters' light and airy studio in Chewton, near Castlemaine.  The classes I reach there are usually held on a Saturday, but the next will possibly be mid-week.
