Term 4 Classes - 2010

The year has flown by, here are most of the classes listed for the remainder of 2010.

I am in the process of confirming venues in the central metropolitan and western areas of Melbourne, so more dates will be going up shortly.

*****Arrange a classs for 6 people in your area and get your class for free! (Material fee still applies)*****

PMC Basics

In this four hour class you will learn the basics of handling PMC3. We fire the PMC with a torch, and cover basic gem setting and hand finishing techniques.  You may either undertake the class project  or (as many people prefer to do) design and fabricate your own piece utilizing the Makin's Creative System.
All tools are supplied for your use on the day, and the class fee includes tea, coffee and written notes for your future reference.

Exploring FASTfire BRONZclay and COPPRclay

The BRONZclay and COPPRclay brands of metal clay have given me excellent results consistantly.  Both clays are of a high quality and have their own unique characteristics.  Once you have mastered how to handle them, you can continue at home and if you don't have your own kiln you can return them to me for firing ($2 per 10g or part thereof + return postage if required)

In the Exploring class you may either choose the textured pendant and clasp project illustrated above, or undertake your own free choice.
FASTfire BRONZclay projects are completed on the day, COPPRclay projects can also be completed in a day, but require a longer firing (which can make for a nice liesurely lunch, or you may work on more projects!).  In this class we cover how to use the clay, inclusions, firing processes and finishing options.  As with all of my classes, you receive written notes and I supply tea and coffee and snacks, but you will need to supply your lunch.

Class time 9.30 until 4.30 unless stated otherwise.
